Jammu, Patnitop and Srinagar Tour Overview

The place is gold in all ways possible. The natural beauty of the valley will make you feel so relaxed and peaceful.The quaint town of Pahalgam will take you away from the hustle-bustle of city life. The town is also ideal for activities like horse riding and trekking. So, if you are an adventure enthusiast this town is a win-win for you.Gulmarg, this picturesque town boasts shiny snow-covered peaks, lovely sightseeing locations, gardens, valleys and pine trees all over the town. Tourists from all over the world also visit Gulmarg for its skiing expedition.Patnitop can be a synonym for heaven. If there is a place on earth that can be considered to be heaven then you will feel it at Patnitop. The sound of silence, the mist in the air, and the snow-capped mountains all around you will transport you to another world altogether.

Jammu, Patnitop and Srinagar Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Jammu, Drive from Jammu to Srinagar (265.0 km. / 8 hrs. 21 minutes)

When you reach Jammu, you will be greeted by our representative. They will then accompany you to Srinagar, via road.Upon your arrival at your houseboat or hotel, complete your check-in process, get some rest and then leave for some sightseeing in Srinagar. You must be tired and hence the first thing you must do is take a 2-hour relaxing Shikara ride in Dal Lake. The ride will rejuvenate you, while you enjoy the amazing view of the snow-capped mountains around you.Post this relaxing ride, you can go shopping at the bazaar. Srinagar is famous for its cashews, saffron and Kashmiri handicrafts.By the night, you will be taken back to your houseboat or hotel for a night stay and delicious dinner.

Day 2

Excursion to Sonamarg (Height 2730m)

Begin your day with a healthy breakfast and Kahwah tea at your houseboat. Post a delicious meal, you can head to Sonamarg for your day tour.Your first destination in Sonamarg will be Thajiwas Glacier. This is a snow-covered glacier and is renowned to be the most picturesque tourist destination of Kashmir. All you will see around you from this point is snow.The next sightseeing destination is Baltal, where you will go White water rafting. It is said to be one of the most famous activities to do in Sonamarg. The rafting ride will start at Baltal and take you all the way to Shutkari Bridge.Once, you are done with rafting, you can also visit Baltal Valley. Many Bollywood films are shot here and hence you must not miss out on seeing this valley. You can also have fun with some horse-riding activities in the valley.Post this tiring day, head back to the hotel for a good night’s sleep and a delicious dinner.

Day 3

Sightseeing in Srinagar (Height 1585)

Wake up feeling fresh and then have a nice hot Kahwah tea with breakfast at your houseboat or hotel. Post breakfast, leave for your sightseeing tour of Srinagar.Your first destination will be Wular Lake. This lake is the largest freshwater lake. There are also various species of birds here. Hence you will find many bird watchers at this lake. You can be a part of adventure activities like boating, water sports and water skiing.The next destination on your list is Chashme Shahi. A garden built by the Mughals, that represents Mughal architecture at its best. You must visit it for its terrace garden. It houses walkways, colourful plants and pools of water.Your last tourist spot will be Hazratbal Shrine. A very holy place for the Muslims, the shrine houses a relic known as Moi-e-Muqqadas. It is believed to be the sacred hair of Prophet Muhammad’s beard. Later, head back to your hotel or houseboat for dinner and a night stay.

Day 4

Travel from Srinagar to Gulmarg (49.5 km. / 1 hrs. 42 minutes, Height 2650m)

Today you will make a road trip to Gulmarg. So, keep your luggage ready and be ready to leave for Gulmarg, post a delicious breakfast. Once you have arrived at your hotel in Gulmarg, get some rest and then you can begin your sightseeing tour.Start your tour with a Gondola ride. The ride provides you with an up-close and personal view of the snow-capped mountains you see around you. It is the second-longest and second-highest cable car ride in the world. Hence, you must not miss this ride.Your next activity is skiing in the snow-capped mountains of Gulmarg. You can also enjoy some sledding rides there. The terrain of Gulmarg is very comfortable for both amateur and professional skiers. This is the reason skiing is very renowned amongst tourists.After this adventurous day, you will be escorted back to your hotel for a night stay and dinner.

Day 5

Sightseeing in Gulmarg

You can continue your sightseeing tour in Gulmarg after a healthy breakfast at the hotel.Your first destination for the day will be the Children’s Park. This park spreads over acres of land. Its beauty boasts of conifers, floating clouds, and mystic hills. You will also find toy trains, car rides, buggy rides, slides and swings here.The next checkpoint is at the Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve. This is also a huge place that spreads over acers of land. The reserve is a protected area though. It houses many exotic and rare species like musk deer and snow leopard.Your last sightseeing location for the day is the Strawberry Valley. Not many tourists come to this valley and hence you will find a lot of peace and silence here. Spend some time in the valley and be away from the everyday stress of your life.After an exciting day, you will be heading back to your hotel for an overnight stay and a hot dinner meal.

Day 6

Travel from Gulmarg to Pahalgam (137.6 km. / 3 hrs. 40 minutes, Height 2740m)

Time to leave for Pahalgam today. So, make sure your luggage is all packed and you have an early breakfast.Upon your arrival at your hotel in Pahalgam, complete your check-in process and then you can move out to explore the town.Your first visit to Pahalgam is Betaab Valley. You have to visit this place. It is known for its boundless beauty and hence many Bollywood films have been shot in this valley too. Make sure you click some wonderful pictures at this valley to show off in front of your friends and family.The next location in Pahalgam is Sheshnag Lake. This lake is all about the sound of silence. It is so nice and calm at this lake that you would just want to dip your feet in the lake and sit there for hours.This brings you to the end of your day. You can then head back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7

Sightseeing in Pahalgam

Follow the same routine, have a healthy breakfast and then continue your Pahalgam sightseeing tour.The day is going to start with an adventure. You will drive to the rocky valley of Chandanwari. To add to the adventure will be fun pony rides at its snow point. You can also be at ease here and spend some quality time with your family and friends.Your next visit will be to the Lidder Amusement Park. This park houses paddle boats, miniature railways, dashing cars, swings and many other games. Now, imagine all this at a mountain peak. All you will be able to say is, WOW! Before you head back to your hotel, visit Tulian Lake. Catch the sunset there. It will be worth all your time and effort.Post this adventurous day, return to the hotel and enjoy your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8

Travel from Pahalgam to Patnitop (173.3 km. / 5 hrs. 40 minutes, Height 2024m)

Another road trip awaits you on Day 8. So, keep your luggage ready and after healthy breakfast leave for Patnitop.Once you arrive at your hotel in Patnitop, complete the check-in process, take some rest and then leave for your sightseeing tour.The first destination you will visit is Nag Temple. The temple is more than 600 years old. Many devotees of Lord Shiva come to visit this temple, especially during the Nag Panchami Festival.Later, spend your evening at the Patnitop bazaar. You can buy the famous ‘patisa’ as a souvenir to take back home. Also, the Pashmina Shawls and dry fruits at Patnitop are very famous.After your shopping spree, head back to your hotel for a night stay and dinner.

Day 9

Departure from Jammu

Day 9, brings you to the end of your Kashmir tour. You will take a road trip to Jammu today. So, keep your luggage ready and after a healthy breakfast at your hotel in Patnitop, leave for Jammu.Upon your arrival in Jammu, our associate will drop you at the Jammu railway station or airport.
